How to Write Captions that Hook!

Updated: Aug 3, 2022

Creating and sharing amazing content for your business means you're definitely on the right track! But if you don't have a plan to convert your audience into paying customers with your captions, then what is the point?

Learning to write effective captions can take time and practice but here is what we suggest you include...

  1. Start with a hook - This needs to clearly capture your potential client's attention enough that they choose to stop and scroll through your post. Using CAPS LOCK & emojis is also a good idea... be loud!

  2. Share deep value - Each piece of content you put out should be either; educating, entertaining, or inspiring to your audience. By providing value in the caption you build trust and can eventually convert them into paying clients.

  3. Speak to client pain points - What are their biggest struggles and what keeps them up at night? If you are clear on how you can help them solve an issue then they will be more inclined to go with you and your service offering.

  4. Position your offer as a transformation - Let them know how you are going to help them get from point a to point b. This is the most important part! They need to know you understand their troubles and will help guide their path to success.

  5. Provide a call to action - Always provide an opportunity for them to take action. This could be in the form of a link to your website, or simply a DM or email. Just make it as easy as possible!
